NEAT: the energy you spend outside training

In a controlled overfeeding experiment, two-thirds of the rise in daily energy expenditure came from non-exercise activity — everyday movement, posture, fidgeting. Change in that activity predicted resistance to fat gain with a correlation of 0.77. The spread between individuals was very large.
