Eating rate and how much you eat

A meta-analysis linked a slower eating rate to lower energy intake: standardised mean difference 0.45, interval 0.25–0.65. In a separate study, raising the number of chews to 150% and 200% of habitual cut intake by 9.5% and 14.8%. It is one of the few interventions that costs nothing but attention.
